Boehm, Dorothy

Dorothy Marie Boehm, 97, of Imperial died June 2, 2024. Mrs. Boehm was a homemaker who raised five children. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Imperial. Her faith, family and friends were most important to her. She enjoyed entertaining, attending the many activities of her grandchildren and playing with her great-grandchildren. Born Oct. 21, 1926, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Frieda (Metzner) and Kurt Illinger.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Milton R. Boehm.

She is survived by five children: Milton H. (Tanya) Boehm of Bonne Terre, Darlene (Terry) Trumbo of Barnhart, Kurt (Cindy) Boehm of Wright City, Marilyn (Edward) Shaver of Crestwood and Mark (Deniece) Boehm of Barnhart; a sibling: Melba Rappe of California; 14 grandchildren: Joshua Boehm of Fenton, Natalie Rainwater of Barnhart, Jason Boehm of St. Louis, Nicole Spradley of Festus, Brian Shaver of Fenton, Nathan Trumbo of Webster Groves, Jonathan Boehm of Fenton, Christopher Shaver of Kirkwood, Daniel Shaver of Kansas City, Matthew Boehm of Barnhart, Sarah Rapp of New London, Cody Boehm of Festus, DJ Moder of Barnhart and Brandi Moder of Barnhart; and 22 great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by a brother: Harold Illinger; and a sister: Elsa Meyer.

Visitation is scheduled for 4 p.m. Monday, June 10, at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in south St. Louis County. A funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 11, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 6020 Old Antonia Road, in Imperial, officiated by the Rev. Jonathan Ruzicka. Burial will follow in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis South County Chapel.
