Dorothy M. Haney, 89, of O’Fallon died Aug. 2, 2026. Mrs. Haney grew up in Crystal City and graduated with the class of 1953. Following graduation, she began her career at Crystal City State Bank before dedicating more than 30 years of service to the Missouri Division of Employment Security. She married Bill on Sept. 21, 2963, at First Baptist Church of Festus/Crystal City. They shared 61 years of marriage. She loved spending time with her family and was passionate about researching and sharing her family history. She will be remembered as a loving family member and friend who would often lend a helping hand to those in need. She was known for her kindness, generosity and caring nature. Born Aug. 28, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Robert M. and Iona Arnold Roussin.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Bill Haney.
She is survived by her sisters: Mary Neel, Donna Roussin and Margaret Peterein; a sister-in-law: Maryann Roussin; a brother-in-law: Richard Haney; many nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
She also was preceded in death by a sister: Norma Lee Roussin; a brother: Robert D. Roussin; a nephew: Charles Peterein Jr.; and a great-nephew: Robert Little.
Per Mrs. Haney’s wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service held.
