Doris L. "Sissy" (Sheets) Wilson, 95, of Herculaneum died March 29, 2025, at the Wilson family farm in Dittmer. Born Aug. 3, 1929, in De Soto, Ms. Wilson was the daughter of the late Ollie (Womack) and Roy Sheets.
She is survived by five children: Dean (Patti) Wilson of Dittmer, Marla (Gary Craven) Dorrel of Cary, N.C., Jay (Mimi Rose) Wilson of Charleston, S.C., Jill Wilson of Festus and Kim Starkey (Scott) of Arnold; a sibling: JoAnn Harshaw of Herculaneum; eight grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on April 26 at the First United Methodist Church at 113 Grand Ave, in Festus. Memorials may be made to Friends of Kids with Cancer at friendsofkids.com/donate.html or to the Hospice Foundation of America at hospicefoundation.org/donate.
