Donna Kathleen Longley, 83, of Festus died Jan. 22, 2026, at her home. Mrs. Longley was the retired owner/operator of Longley Janitorial Service in Festus and was a longtime member of Faith Baptist Church in Festus. Born Jan. 19, 1943, in Herculaneum, she was the daughter of the late Katharine Irene (Wiles) and Wilburn Joseph Torrence.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Chester Eugene Longley Sr.
She is survived by four daughters: Denise Smith of Herculaneum, Rhonda (Clay) Chiles of De Soto, Paula (Dave) Cox of Herculaneum and Cindy Drinen of Festus; a son: the Rev. Chester “Gene” (Brenda) Longley Jr. of Festus; three brothers: Donald (Linda) Torrence of Hematite, the Rev. Bruce (the late Connie) Torrence of Festus and Gary (Janet) Torrence of De Soto; a sister-in-law: Sharon (Bruce) Fernimen of Pocahontas, Ark.; 10 grandchildren: Amanda (Trevor) Anderson, Alyssa (Jerad) Alberts, Nathan (Amy) Chiles, Paige (Ben) Herrick, Craig (Bailey) Chiles, Jonathan (Reagan) Cox, Grant (Andrea) Drinen, Drew (Megan) Drinen, Bryan Longley and Katie Longley; 13 great-grandchildren: Trey Anderson, Gracie Drinen, Harper Drinen, Tucker Drinen, Lena Drinen, Georgia Drinen, Kara Chiles, Coy Chiles, Jack Chiles, Marshall Chiles, Josephine Herrick, Kynlee Cox and Brooks Drinen; and three great-grandchildren on-the-way.
She was preceded in death by a sister: Estelle (the late Norman) Clerc; an infant brother: Norman Ralph “Sonny” Torrence; and a great-granddaughter: Morgan Anderson.
Visitation is scheduled from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 29, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus. Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 30, at the funeral home, officiated by the Rev. Chester “Gene” Longley Jr. Burial will follow in Peaceful Ridge Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made to the Morgan Anderson S3 Foundation or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
