Donald William Buerk, 74, of Hillsboro died April 10, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis. Mr. Buerk served in the U.S. Army and was a retired tool and die maker. Born July 17, 1950, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Mildred (Erler) and Clifford Buerk.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years: Cheryl (Murphy) Buerk of Hillsboro; two children: Jason Buerk and Tanya Todaro; a sibling: Janet Pendino; and five grandchildren: Hannah Buerk, Sarah Buerk, Keith Hicks, Randy Hicks and Season Hicks.
He was preceded in death by two siblings: Arthur Buerk and Robert Buerk.
A graveside service will be held at a later date in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks.
