Donald Marvin "Skip" Pope Jr., 51, of Festus died Sept. 28, 2023, in Crystal City. Mr. Pope loved playing billiards, fishing, St. Louis Blues hockey and spending time with his family. Born Nov. 27, 1971, in Festus, he was the son of Donald M. Pope Sr. of Festus and the late Vivien E. (Marler) Pope.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife: Diane M. Pope of Festus; two sons: Dalton (Janin) Pope of Bridgeton and Allen Pope of Festus; a sister: Donna (Paul) Roper of Bonne Terre; his mother-in-law: Kathy Lingo of Festus; a sister-in-law: Donna (Billy) Wood of Pevely. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law: Omer Lingo.
A memorial gathering is scheduled from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Ave, in Festus. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
