Keller, Donald

Donald L. Keller, 82, of De Soto died Feb. 13, 2026, in Crystal City. Mr. Keller was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 513 and a longtime friend and companion to many through the Goose Creek Goons. He worked for many years as a heavy equipment operator with J.H. Berra Co. before his retirement. He enjoyed being outdoors, riding his ATVs, camping and sharing laughter and stories with his Goose Creek friends. In his younger years, he enjoyed traveling and exploring new places. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. Born July 16, 1943, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Otto A. Keller and Mildred (Wade) Keller.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Della M. (Portell) Keller.

He is survived by three sons: Donald (Laurie) Keller of Pevely, Eddie (Val) Keller of De Soto and Joseph Richardson of Barnhart; three daughters: Cathy (Fred) Hoskins of Pevely, Peggy Lunsford of French Village and Lisa (Shawn) Bequette of Arnold; a brother: Robert Keller of De Soto; three sisters: Jacqueline Henry of De Soto, Barbara (Richard) Berry of De Soto and Linda Bishop of Howell, Mich.; 25 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and many other family members and friends.

He also was preceded in death by a son: Edward Richardson; a daughter: Marsha Keller; a brother: Pete Keller; and a sister: JoAnn Adams.

Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until a funeral service at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, at Mahn Funeral Home, 900 N. Main St., in De Soto. Interment will follow in Peaceful Ridge Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
