
Donald James Womack Sr., 84, of Festus died Nov. 28, 2024, in Riverview at the Park in Ste. Genevieve. Mr. Womack worked for Chrysler on the assembly line and took photographs for the product quality inspection team. He enjoyed woodworking and classic cars. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of the Festus-Crystal City Elks Lodge 1721. He was also an elder at the Hematite Christian Church. Born March 13, 1940, in Houston, Texas, he was the son of the late Earl Womack and Artie (Thurman) Womack.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years: Dianne C. (Akers) Womack of Festus, whom he married on Oct. 8, 1960, in Crystal City; a son: Donald (Donna) Womack Jr.; a daughter: Robin (Charles) LaChance; two grandchildren: Tiffany (Jarrod) Pashia and Donald J. (Angela) Womack III; three great-grandchildren: Olivia Pashia, Gesina Womack and Jay Womack IV; and numerous family members and friends.
Donald was preceded in death by a brother: Earl (Janice) Womack; and a sister: Rhonda Womack.
Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until services at noon Wednesday, Dec. 4, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Ave., in Festus, officiated by the Rev. Terry Crank. Burial will follow in Peaceful Ridge Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Association or American Diabetes Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
