Donald Gene Boeckstiegel, 66, of Bloomsdale died May 8, 2025, at de Greeff Hospice House in South St. Louis County. Mr. Boeckstiegel served in the U.S. Air Force and was a retired industrial automated machinery technician for the Weir Group in St. Louis. His hobbies included radio-controlled airplanes, helicopters and small aircraft, as well as collecting and building train sets. Born July 16, 1958, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Helen (Miller) and John Rickus.
He is survived by four brothers: William Boeckstiegel of St. Clair, Barry Boeckstiegel of Festus, David Boeckstiegel of Farmington and John Boeckstiegel of Festus; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends.
Services will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
