Donald “Donny” Branson, 66, of High Ridge died May 26, 2025. Mr. Branson was a lifelong car geek. He was a devoted fan of St. Louis sports teams and the Kansas City Chiefs. His love of the open road, cars and music was shared with friends and family. He enjoyed memories spent in pit crews for stock cars. He found peace being outdoors. He enjoyed eating roast beef sandwiches and drinking sweet tea from Lion’s Choice. Born April 13, 1959, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Gerri Heim and Stephen Branson. He was the stepson of the late Ken Heim.
He is survived by two children: Meghan (Travis) Hunt and Niki (Tristan Searcy) Branson; three grandchildren: Harper and Elijah Hunt and Tatum Searcy; two siblings: Kenny (Patty) Branson and Brenda Jane Branson; and loved ones: Dawn Schoenhoff and Donna Shipp.
Visitation is scheduled from 5 p.m. until a memorial service at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 12, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
