Donald C. Warren, 70, of Cuba died April 15, 2025, at his home. Mr. Warren grew up and attended local schools in Silver Grove, Ky., before enlisting in the U.S. Army in 1971. While serving, he was stationed in various places including Germany for several years, Fort Polk, La., and El Paso, Texas. Mr. Warren later worked as a barber at Ed’s Barber Shop. He would then move to Utah and, there, he became a baker and worked for local stores, including Harmons and Winchell’s Donuts. He would finally go to work for the United States Postal Service as a mail sorter until his retirement. While in Utah, he met Tammy while playing darts. Together, they enjoyed sharing many memories over the next nearly 30 years. They later moved to Cuba to be closer to their children and grandchildren.

An avid outdoorsman, Mr. Warren loved hunting, fishing and camping. He often relaxed with a glass of his favorite single-barrel whiskey. He was known for being witty, charismatic, flirtatious and having a great sense of humor. He also enjoyed art and created many dream catchers, tomahawks, knives and jewelry. He loved to randomly give gifts to others, especially having random packages delivered to his daughters’ front doors. He will be remembered for lending a helping hand to others in need. Born April 27, 1954, in Covington, Ky., he was the son of the late Clarence and Catherine (Ripberger) Warren.

He is survived by his wife: Tammy Cash of Cuba; two daughters: Chantelle (Brandon) Warren-Alleger of Marionville and Dawn (Tim) Schoeller Sullivan; five grandchildren: Grace (Austin) Fly, Jayda Eads, Elijah (fiancee Amanda Oglesby) Eads, Gabriel Eads and Ellie Schoeller; two great-grandchildren: Ember Eads and Lilith Graddy; a brother: Nicholas Gross of Florida; a sister: Vera (David) Englund of Basin; his pup: Tundra; his cat: Young Lady; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by a brother: Samuel Gross; and two sisters: Angela Justice and Karen Ballmann.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Eaton Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Sullivan.
