Lupien, Dirk

Dirk Steven Lupien, 65, of Festus died Jan. 28, 2025, in St. Louis. At the age of 18, Mr. Lupien went to serve in the U.S. Marine Corps. During his 20-year tenure, he served in many capacities before his retirement. After his military career, he worked as a project management professional where he owned his own company, DL Consulting. He also taught as an adjunct professor of project management at St. Louis Community College. In his free time, he enjoyed reading, woodworking, hiking, being outdoors and cooking for friends and family. He was a member of Our Lady Catholic Church in Festus, Knights of Columbus 14402, where he was the grand knight, PMI of St. Louis and the Boy Scouts of America Troop 0426. He was a devoted Catholic and donated much of his time to different organizations around Our Lady, including the ACTS Retreat, White House Retreat and Simon of Cyrene Support Group with Jim Adams. Born May 20, 1959, in Helena, Mont., he was the son of Bonnie (Bailey) Browning of Graham, Wash., and the late Vincent Edward Lupien.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of more than 40 years: Roxy Lupien of Festus; a son: Brandon Scott (Danielle) Lupien of St. Peters; a daughter: Andrea Noelle Lupien of St. Louis; three brothers: Kent White of Seattle, Wash., Eric White of Anchorage, Alaska, and Troy White of Seattle, Wash.; two grandchildren: Derrick Vincent Lupien and Faith Isabelle Lupien; and many other family members and friends.

Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Ave., in Festus. Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, at Our Lady Catholic Church, 1550 Saint Mary’s Lane, in Festus, 63028, officiated by Father Michael Boehm. Burial will follow in the Nation Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Following the burial, a luncheon is scheduled for 2:15 at Sacred Heart Gymnasium, 200 Brierton Lane, in Crystal City. Memorials may be made to Our Lady Catholic Church- basement construction fund. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
