Dianne Marie Bates, 81, of Imperial died Feb. 11, 2024. Mrs. Bates enjoyed planting trees and flowers, horticulture, antiques, wine, driving down country roads, warm weather, sunshine, traveling to new places and making memories with family. She will be remembered for her zest for life. Born Oct. 20, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Alice and Robert Olson.
She is survived by her husband: Joseph Gregory Bates; four children: Christopher (Stephanie) Bates, Andrew (Valeree) Bates, Joseph (Kathy) Bates, and Rebecca (Larry) Strickland; 10 grandchildren: Taylor, CJ, Ryan (Courtney), Maddy (Cory), Grant, Hannah (Rocky), Carlee (Jacob), Savannah (Levi), Colton (Kylie) and Hunter; 11 great-grandchildren: Hesston, Higgins, Beau, Emma, Sylvia, Caleb, Natalie, Rocky, Archer, Cooper and Jacob; and two sisters: Kathy Cruze and Susan Leacock.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
