DeWayne Matthew Crannick, 54, of St. Louis died Jan. 20, 2026, at his home. Mr. Crannick served in the U.S. Navy for six years and worked as a troubleshooting machinist for MiTek in St. Louis. Born July 5, 1971, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Nancy J. (Gegg) and Donald Raymond Crannick.
He is survived by three siblings: Joyce (Keith) White of Herculaneum, Kevin Crannick of Pevely and Donna (Brad) Hartman of Festus; three nieces: Jeanetta J. Roberts of Pevely, Stephanie L. Hartman of Festus and Lisa L. Bailey of Bloomsdale; four nephews: Scott D. White of Festus, Dustin K. (Kaneesha) White of Crystal City, Brandon M. (Angie) Hartman of Ste. Genevieve and Alex P. Crannick of Fredericktown; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
A memorial gathering is scheduled from 11 a.m. until a memorial service at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus, officiated by Father Steve Lian. Interment will be in Good Shepherd Cemetery in Hillsboro. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
