Dennis “Wayne” Hahn, 75, of Crystal City died Oct. 1, 2025, at his home. Mr. Hahn served as an aerographer’s mate in the U.S. Navy, achieving the rank of petty officer, 1st class. He enjoyed working as an electrician at the St. Louis Zoo. He loved attending his grandchildren’s different activities. His passions included a love of flying and airplanes, his favorite being the Blue Angels. He also loved music and playing bass guitar in several bands, the most recent being the Worship Band at Good News Community Church. Born June 15, 1950, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Helen Marie (Gehrs) and Paul Theodore “Ted” Hahn.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years: Sue Hahn; two daughters: Terri (Tim) Linderer of Festus and Amanda (Austin) Willis of Pevely; a son: Eric Wayne (Candace) Hahn of Pevely; five grandchildren: Zachary (Sara) Giambalvo, Kyle Giambalvo, Hunter Ellsworth, Alexis Hahn and Nolan Hahn; and two great-grandchildren: Jack and Juno Giambalvo.

A memorial visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until a celebration of life service, officiated by Pastor Justin Metiva, at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, at Good News Community Church of Festus, 2793 Hwy. 61. Interment was in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to Good News Community Church Worship Ministry or the Wounded Warrior Project. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
