Rushing, Dennis

Dennis Lee Rushing, 76, of Pevely died May 11, 2026, at his home. Mr. Rushing worked as a Truck Driver for LMC Industries and retired after 43 years. He was a lifetime member at Joachim Masonic Lodge for 52 years and Arnold Moose Lodge for 50 years. He also was a lifelong member of the Boy Scouts of America, a mentor and leader for 25 years and enjoyed many camping trips and scuba diving in Florida. He had a passion for woodworking and loved making his projects for his family and friends, including cradles, furniture and crosses. He will be remembered for his generous spirit. Born April 7, 1950, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Florence Anita (Dossett) and Jesse James Rushing.

He is survived by his wife: Toni (Key) Rushing; a daughter: Patty Jane Rushing of Festus; a son: Lestel “Les” Lee (Amber) Rushing of Pevely; a brother: Patrick Allen Rushing of Kirkwood; and five grandchildren: Dawson Cambell, Jesse Cambell, Terry Rushing, Lillian Rushing and Hunter Rushing.

A celebration of life is scheduled from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, June 13, at Radiant Life Church, 11533 Gamel Cemetery Road, in Festus. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
