Dennis Amelung, 77, of Barnhart died June 12, 2026. Mr. Amelung enjoyed watching NASCAR, tinkering in his garage, appreciating cars and spending time with his family. Born Aug. 27, 1948, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Eileen and Melvin Amelung.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Mary Spengemann Amelung.
He is survived by two daughters: Deanna (Scott) Cauley and Elizabeth (Glen) Pyatt; five grandchildren; two brothers: Bob (Margie) Amelung and Les Amelung; a sister: Connie Hampe; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life may be held at a later date.
