Deborah Lynne Barnes, 64, of Pevely died November 9, 2025. Ms. Barnes worked in customer service. She was a Christian. Born Jan. 29, 1961, in Dexter, she was the daughter of Gwyneith Rose White of Pevely and the late William Ray Spurlin.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by three children: Kimberly (Robert) Muellersman of Festus; Danielle (Jarrett) McCabe of Lakeland, Fla., and Floyd (Michelle) Borden of Pevely; eight grandchildren: Alexandria Cheney of Pevely, Zachariah Horton of Pevely, Alexander McCabe of Lakeland, Fla., Graceylyn Borden of Pevely, Luke Muellersman of Festus, Victoria McCabe of Lakeland, Fla., Abbigail Borden of Pevely and Lacey Muellersman of Festus; seven siblings: Nelson Spurlin, Cynthia Williams, Valenda Spurlin, Pamela (Gary) Kunkelmann, Melissa (James) Thacker-Hibbitts, Karen (Rudy) Binko and Marsha Barnett; and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by a child: Robert Borden Jr.; two uncles: JC Taylor and Bill White; and an aunt: Devonda Maddox.
A celebration of life is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 316 N. Adams St., in Festus, officiated by Pastor Mike Harrison. Arrangements are under the direction of St. Louis Cremation.
