Deborah Lee Leutzinger, 72, of Festus died Feb. 10, 2026, at Crystal Oaks Assisted Living. Ms. Leutzinger was a retired cook at Mercy Hospital Jefferson. She also was a Baptist. In her free time, she loved going to the casino, shopping, watching Hallmark movies, listening to music and spending time with her family. Born Sept. 8, 1953, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Pauline (Dobbs) Leutzinger and George H. Leutzinger.
She is survived by seven nieces and nephews: Jane (Gary) Sullivan of Festus, Rose (Chuck) Chotrow of Herculaneum, Charlie Chotrow of Pevely, John (Michelle) White of Festus, Kevin (Sue) Valleck of Festus, Garrett (Missy) Hauck of Potosi and Teresa Hauck of Hannibal; eight great-nieces and nephews: Jessica (Aaron) Barnett of Arnold, Chris (Jennifer) Sullivan of Hillsboro, Dustin Dorlac of St. Louis, John White II of Atlanta, Luke Valleck of Festus, Ryan Valleck of Festus, Sarah (Dylan) Akridge of Hannibal and Amanda Nash of Hannibal; six great-great-nieces and nephews: Chloe Sullivan, Liam Sullivan, Dylan Dorlac, Makenna Barnett, Rylee Barnett and Parker Akridge; a sister-in-law: Bet Leutzinger; and two best friends: Kim Kerlagon and Linda Baker.
She was preceded in death by three sisters: Barbara Chotrow, Jerry Inman and Alice White; two brothers: George Leutzinger and Paul Leutzinger; a niece: Cheryl Hauck; and a great-nephew: Andrew Campbell.
A graveside service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday, March 20, in the Festus Presbyterian-Methodist Cemetery, officiated by Cindy Fallert. Memorials may be made to the Dementia Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
