Dawn Marie Stotler, 38, of St. John died May 17, 2025, at her home. Mrs. Stotler worked as a CNA. She loved spending time with her family and caring for others. She will be remembered for her dedication to her work and for her passion and grace. Born March 7, 1987, in Crystal City, she was the daughter of Trina James Bishop of Bonne Terre and James (Mary White) Ward Sr. of Bloomsdale. She was the stepdaughter of the late Robert “Bob” Bishop II.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband: James Stotler of St. John; three children: James Stotler Jr., Jasmine Stotler and Jay Stotler; four brothers: Robert James of Bloomsdale, Clarence “Bo” (Cheryl) James of High Ridge, David Ward of St. Louis and James Ward Jr. of Bonne Terre; and many other family members and friends.
Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until a funeral service at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 22, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main, in De Soto. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
