David R. Jackson, 86, of De Soto died April 18, 2025, at his home. Mr. Jackson was a retired F-15 inspector for McDonnell Douglas/Boeing. Born Sept. 29, 1938, in Cadet, he was the son of the late Lona Mae (Missey) and David D. Jackson.
He is survived by his wife: Marsha P. (Rickard) Jackson of De Soto; three daughters: Melody (Joe) Coleman of Potosi, Felicia (Greg) Huff of Oak Grove and Melissa (Bob) O’Guin of Waterloo, Ill.; nine grandchildren: Courtney (Kacy) Coleman, Bradley (Danielle) Coleman, David (C.K.) Shaku, Danielle Fagan, Keegan Huff, Keeley Huff, O.T. Huff, Sean (Maria) O’Guin and Ryan O’Guin; a great-grandson: Kaleb Fagan; a sister: Barbara Keefe of De Soto; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister: Esther Henson; and five brothers: Andrew Jackson, Lehman Jackson, Lindell Jackson, Marvin Jackson and Robert Jackson.
Visitation is scheduled from noon until services at 4 p.m. Thursday, April 24, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
