David N. Petrie, 82, of Hillsboro died Oct. 29, 2023, at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis County. Mr. Petrie worked as a carpenter. Born Sept. 27, 1941, in Farmington, he was the son of the late Mabel (Hall) and Earl Petrie.
He is survived by his wife: Glenda J. (Baker) Petrie; a daughter: Kim (John) Wildeisen of Wentzville; a brother-in-law: Jim Nelson of Bonne Terre; a half-brother: Lloyd Petrie; five grandchildren: Tyler, Dalton, David, Emma and Ashley; as well as many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by a daughter: Lisa Nelson; and a brother: Robert Petrie.
A memorial gathering is scheduled from 3 p.m. until a service at 5 p.m. Sunday Nov. 19, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main, in De Soto. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
