Lashley, David

David Lashley, 84, of Webster Groves died Dec. 1, 2023, at the Missouri Veterans Home in St. Louis. Mr. Lashley loved spending time with his family. He was a retired Festus Post Office letter carrier, a veteran of the U.S. Army, a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and an avid Mizzou fan. Born April 9, 1939, in Festus, he was the son of the late Wilma (Buehler) and Leonard Lashley.

He is survived by his wife: Sharon (Meyer) Lashley of Webster Groves; two children: Vicki (Walter) Williams of Webster Groves and Jonathan (Damara) Lashley of St. Charles; seven grandchildren: Anna (Ben) Picardi, Stephanie (Aaron) Trask, Nathaniel (Ashley) Williams, Alexis (Brian) Paul, Cameron Lashley, Olivia Lashley and Nicholas Lashley; nine great-grandchildren: Brody, Lily Jane, Parker, Molly, Audrey, Mila, Sophia, Emilia and Christopher; a brother: Gregory (Gayle) Lashley of Orlando, Fla.; and many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by a brother: Charles (Frances survives of Camdenton) Lashley.

Visitation is scheduled for 10 a.m. until a memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus, officiated by the Rev. Jarold Rux. Burial to follow in Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association Greater Missouri Chapter, 11433 Olde Cabin Road, St. Louis, 63141. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
