David John Sansoucie, 64, of De Soto died Oct. 2, 2024. Mr. Sansoucie served in the U.S. Army before going on to work as a corrections officer for the Missouri Department of Corrections. He loved woodworking, gardening, fishing and, most importantly, spending time with his family and friends. Born Dec. 8, 1959, in Crystal City, he was the son of Thelma Darlene (Rawson) Sansoucie of Arnold and the late Robert John Sansoucie.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his significant other: Judy Hendricks of De Soto; three sons: James (Melissa Colbert) Chitwood of Warrenton, Matthew Sansoucie of Bossier City, La., and Ron Hendricks of De Soto; four daughters: April (Merlin) Sansoucie of Warrenton, Deseray Hudson of Anniston, Ala., Cindy (Aaron) Kite of De Soto and Lisa (David) Peters of Hillsboro; a daughter-in-law: Kim Martin of Warrenton; three sisters: Karen (Ronald) Watkins of St. Louis, Debbie (Les) Sunhausen of Bonne Terre and Linda Hamlett of Arnold; 19 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by a daughter: Tara Boyer; and a brother: Robert Sansoucie.
Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until services at noon Tuesday, Oct. 8, at Mahn Funeral Home De Soto Chapel, 900 N. Main St. Burial will follow in Peaceful Ridge Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 9440 Manchester Road, St. Louis, 63119. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
