David Andrew “Papa” Kehoe, 73, of Festus died Sept. 7, 2024, at his home. Mr. Kehoe was a truck driver for Leon Lewis and Sons for more than 30 years until his retirement. He enjoyed spending time with his family, working with his hands and working on his farm, especially mowing the grass and caring for his chickens. Born Jan. 7, 1951, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Andrew (the late Ruth) Kehoe and Patricia (the late Ted) Ryan.
He is survived by his wife: Shirley Elaine Jones of Festus; a son: Michael (Patricia) Miller of Festus; two siblings: Patrick (the late Tracy) Kehoe of St. Peters and Ann (Derek) Vietmeier of Hazelwood; four grandchildren: Miranda (Joseph) D’Angelo of Festus, Ryan (Emma) Miller of Festus, Nathan (Kenna) Miller of Festus and Rebecca (Billy) Becker of Festus; numerous nieces and nephews including Geoffrey (Ashley) Sellers of Festus; and several great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life is scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27, at the Elks Lodge, 4 Elks Drive, in Festus. His body was cremated by St. Louis Cremation.
