Darren Dion Cox, 62, of Arnold died June 1, 2025. Mr. Cox was an informatics nurse at John Cochran VA Medical Center. He retired on May 30, 2025, after 39 years of federal service. He was a Patriot Guard Rider. He served in the U.S. Army at the rank of sergeant. He was a Christian. Born May 17, 1963, in Hoopeston, Ill., he was the son of Karen (Beaver) Cox of Hoopeston, Ill., and the late Jerry Cox.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two children: Ashley (Andrew) Stream of Kirkwood and Grant Cox of Arnold; a sibling: Teri Hultquist of San Antonio, Texas; three granddaughters: Sophia Stream, Olivia Stream and Kennedy Stream, all of Kirkwood; a nephew: Timothy Hultquist of San Antonio, Texas; and a niece: Sylvia Zamarripa of San Antonio, Texas.
