Danny Lee Chasteen, 74, of Barnhart died July 8, 2025, in Huntsville, Ala. Mr. Chasteen was retired. He was a member of the Arnold Church of Christ. Born May 16, 1951, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Geraldine (Thrower) and Daniel Chasteen.
He is survived by his partner: Vera Maeser of Huntsville, Ala.; three children: Gary (Kim) Chasteen of Valles Mines, Steven (Melissa) Chasteen of Arnold and Hannah Maeser of Huntsville, Ala.; five grandchildren: Shannon Chasteen, Stephanie Chasteen, Melanie Chasteen, Aubrey Chasteen and Madison Chasteen; two siblings: Linda (Larry) Fehlker of Antonia and Jim Chasteen of Manila, Philippine Islands; and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by a child: Mark Louis Chasteen; and a sibling: David Lynn Chasteen.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date, officiated by Don Bahr, minister of the Churches of Christ. Burial will be in Shepherd Hills Cemetery in Barnhart. Memorials may be made to Arnold Church of Christ, 2267 Scott Drive, Arnold, 63010.
