Cynthia L. “Cindy” McClanahan, 64, of Bloomsdale died Feb. 19, 2026, at her home in Ste. Genevieve County. Ms. McClanahan was known for her many talents. She enjoyed repairing and refinishing furniture, making jewelry from rocks that she collected and polished and sewing together blankets from denim squares. She also enjoyed being in nature, doing diamond art, working on puzzles, going to the casino and doing the lottery scratchers. She will be remembered for her strength, determination and love for her family and friends. Born March 31, 1961, in Festus, she was the daughter of the late Millie (Jokerst) and Roger McClanahan.
She is survived by a sister: Annette (Michael) Hughes of Ste. Genevieve County; two brothers: Paul (Georgia) McClanahan and Don (Barb Weiler) McClanahan, both of Ste. Genevieve County; three nieces: Jessica, Kadie and Jenna; four nephews: Cory, Alex, Rob and Chris; numerous great-nieces and nephews; many friends; and her pet: Bugs.
She was preceded in death by a brother: Bob McClanahan, with whom she worked as a wrapper in his meat processing business.
Services will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
