Cheryl Lee Gosnell, 70, of Eureka died April 30, 2024. Ms. Gosnell was a teacher and a member of The River at Eureka. She enjoyed educating children and was a big supporter of lifelong learning. Born Dec. 11, 1953, in Peoria, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Fern (Goodman) and Curtis Campbell.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years: Robert Gosnell.
She is survived by two children: Tobie (Marc) Morris of Southlake, Texas, and Tessa (Chris) Sater of Eureka; three siblings: Belva Campbell of Birch Tree, Dowe (Jennifer Hurt) Campbell of Mountain Grove and Tammy (Bill) Mangum of Haines City, Fla.; four grandchildren: Logan Self of Fort Worth, Texas, Blake Self of Houston, Texas, Matthew Morris of Dallas, Texas, and Ryan Morris of Southlake, Texas; and one great-grandchild: Aria Self of Eureka.
She also was preceded in death by a brother: Harold Campbell; and a sister-in-law: Janna Campbell.
A celebration of life is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, June 1, at The River at Eureka, 215 N. Central Ave., in Eureka, officiated by Pastor Tim Schulte. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Birch Tree. Memorials may be made to the donor’s local school or library in the form of books. Arrangements are under the direction of St. Louis Cremation.
