Charles Robert Crain, 86, of Arnold died March 4, 2025, at his home. Mr. Crain spent his childhood in St. Louis, later moving to South County in 1957 after marrying his wife. The couple eventually moved to Arnold in 1985. Mr. Crain served in the U.S. Air Force. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also loved shooting a good game of pool with his family and friends. He will be remembered for his kindness. Born Feb. 26, 1939, in Cutler, Ill., he was the son of the late Wilbert and Mary Crain.
He is survived by his wife: Sandra Crain; two children: Bob (Paula) Crain and Chris (Jimmie) Rodgers; two grandchildren: Pamela Crain Purdy and Heather Price; and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by a sibling: Helen Meyer.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
