Charles John Bolle Jr., 80, of New Braunfels, Texas, died April 11, 2024, at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. Mr. Bolle was involved in Boy Scouts of America. He attended Festus High School where he played basketball and football. He attended Southwest Missouri State University on a football scholarship after graduation. He served in the Vietnam War from 1968-69 and the Missouri National Guard. He had a successful career in the cement industry in the areas of management, new plant construction and kiln operation. He worked at LaFarge in New Braunfels for most of his career but worked in Ohio and Egypt as well. He was an active member of Oakwood Baptist Church, Bible Study Fellowship, New Braunfels Rotary Club and as an Opa in the Wurstfest Association. He enjoyed snow skiing, golf, tennis, pickleball, biking, kayaking, fly fishing, summers with family in Wyoming and spending time with family. Born March 5, 1944, in Festus, he was the son of the late Charles and Irene Bolle.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years: Nancy (Robinson) Bolle; a daughter: Sarah (James) Blake; three grandchildren: Jeb, Caroline and Charlie John; a sister: Judy Bolle McMillan; two nieces: Tracy (Glenn) Lydahl and Kim (Don) Sweat; and three great-nephews: Kevin Sweat, Daniel Sweat and Gage Lydahl.
Memorials service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, April 25, at Oakwood Church, in New Braunfels, Texas. Memorials may be made to New Braunfels Christian Ministries.
