Parker, Charles

Charles A. Parker, 81, of Hillsboro died May 31, 2024. Mr. Parker was a previous resident of Lake of the Ozarks and High Ridge. He enjoyed offering wisdom and support, humor, making and fixing things, and spending time with family. Born Oct. 28, 1942, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Florene (Jackson) and Wilbert Parker.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years: Dorothy L. (Haley) Parker.

He is survived by four children: Brenda (Doug) Davis, Bob (Jill) Parker, Nancy (Dave) Lehnig and Angela (Todd) Ruether; five siblings: Bill (Carolyn) Parker, Delores (the late Jerry) Henkel, Wilma (Michael) Leisure, Ron (Maureen) Parker and John (Joann) Parker; eight grandchildren: Christina Nash, Ryan (Marcy) Nash, Jessica (Austin) Hinkle, Charlie (Allison) Parker, Karen (Alex) Devenburgh, Shelly Velasco, Stacy Dempsey and Sarah Madden; 17 great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by a sister: Betty (the late Vito) Castelli.

A celebration of life is scheduled from 2-5 p.m. Thursday, June 20, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Highway 30, in Cedar Hill. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
