Caryl Louise Murry, 82, of Byrnes Mill died Sept. 16, 2023, at her home. Mrs. Murry was a Christian. She enjoyed traveling, particularly to Branson where she saw many entertainers and met Willie Nelson, her favorite artist, and listening to country music. Born April 17, 1941, in Richland County, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Cletus (Cooley) and Noah Childers.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years: Harold R. Murray; a son: Bryan Lynn Murry of Byrnes Mill; a daughter: Terri Jo (Joe) Curry of Mount Pleasant, Texas; a grand-dog: Tex; and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by two sisters: Betty Aldridge of Newton, Ill., and Shirley Blain of Lake Havasu, Ariz.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 27, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. Burial will be in the Nation Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill.
