Carol Mae (Baker) Coghlan, 77, of Eureka died May 27, 2025, at de Greef Hospice House in St. Louis. Mrs. Coghlan was known for her kindness and humor. She loved to laugh, spend time with family and explore St. Louis through daily walks with her husband. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, making memories and sharing stories. Born May 21, 1948, in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Noel Dwight and Gladys (Bays) Baker.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years: David Lee Coghlan Sr.

She is survived by two children: David (Lori Barton) Coghlan Jr. and Debbie Coghlan; five grandchildren: Emily Causevic, Grace Coghlan, Ryan Causevic, Faith Coghlan and Madeline (Milzark) Crum; a great-grandchild: Harold Mitchell; two siblings: Doug (Barb Miller) Baker and Cathy Baker (Dan) Snell; sister-in-law: Mary (Coghlan) Barkey; and nieces and nephews:  Dennis Baker, Todd Baker, Brian Snell, Patty (Coghlan) Chapman, Linda (Coghlan) Ternes and William Coghlan.

She also was preceded in death by siblings-in-law: Bill and Mary Blunt, Bob and Beverly Blunt, Owen and Betty Blunt, Louise Baker and Al Coghlan Jr.; a niece: Theresa (Baker) Helm; and a nephew: Robert (Bobbie) Coghlan.

A roadside service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, June 5, in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks, with departure for the cemetery from Sylvan Springs Park scheduled for 9:45 a.m. A gathering for friends and family will take place between noon and 2 p.m. at Mrs. Coghlan’s home. Memorials may be made to de Greeff Hospice House or Forest Park Forever. Arrangements are under the direction of Schrader Funeral Home in Ballwin.
