Carol Ann (Wentz) Roberts, 79, of Arnold died Nov. 1, 2024. Mrs. Roberts was a graduate of Southwest High School. Following her schooling, she married Troy and together they started a family. She was a homemaker and was known for her meals like Polish sausage and sauerkraut. She loved to spend time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whether it was traveling or staying close to home. She will be remembered for her headstrong perspective. Born Oct. 6, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Edward V. and Elsie A. (Sickmeier) Wentz.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years: Troy R. Roberts; a child: Pamela J. (Tom E.) Worsham; two grandchildren: Zachary T. (Jessica Walker) Worsham and Caitlin J. (Daniel S.) Besand; three great-grandchildren: Peyton Wilson, Lorali Wilson and Joshua D. Besand; two siblings: Kenneth R. Wentz and Kathleen J. Peinetti; and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by a child: Timothy J. Roberts; and two brothers: Raymond Wentz and Jerome Wentz.
A funeral service was held Nov. 9, at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons South County Chapel in St. Louis County. Burial followed in Resurrection Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Gateway Food Pantry in Arnold. Arrangements were under the direction of John L. Ziegenhein & Sons Funeral Home South County Chapel.
