Calvin Ford, 74, of Festus died Dec. 10, 2025. Mr. Ford was known as a hardworking man, having worked in many fields, including food service and setting up mobile homes. He retired as an overnight stocker at the Walmart in Festus. A Vietnam veteran, he served from 1971 to 1972 as part of the U.S. Army’s 78th Engineer Company. He finished his tour in 1973 at Fort Sam in Houston, Texas. Born March 30, 1951, in Parma, he was the son of the late Ester (Jones) Ford and James Ford.
He is survived by his significant other: Patty Walsh; a daughter; Jessica (Steve) Heinzman; two granddaughters: Rozlyn and Eleanor; and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by a sister: Dorothy; and several other siblings.
A celebration of life is scheduled from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 316 N. Adams St., in Festus.
