Brenda Sue Rundel, 75, of Festus died Aug. 18, 2025, at Mercy de Greeff Hospice House in St. Louis. Mrs. Rundel worked throughout her life as both a beautician and a secretary. She was a faithful member of Bethesda General Baptist Church in Imperial. She had a love for horses, enjoyed creating ceramics and treasured traveling with her girlfriends. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Born Dec. 21, 1949, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Mildred (Barton) Goggin.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Ronald Dale Rundel.
She is survived by a son: Jeffrey Evans of Farmington; a daughter: Amy (Brandon) Evans-Schnable of Hillsboro; two stepsons: Ronald (Angela) Rundel of Mississippi and Darryl (Beverly) Rundel of De Soto; a sister: Tammy (Wesley) Crews of Farmington; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.
A memorial gathering is scheduled from noon until a memorial service at 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 24, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Ave., in Festus, officiated by Pastor Mark Lorenz. Memorials may be made to Mercy Hospice South-de Greeff Hospice House, 10024 Kennerly Road, St. Louis, 63128. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
