Dostal, Bradley 'Odie'

Bradley E. "Odie" Dostal, 39, of Fenton died July 12, 2025. Mr. Dostal, the middle of five kids, was the goofy, “sing-songy,” in-front-of-the-camera brother. Growing up, he played Dirty Steve, coined the term “Cody Sniffs,” put too much sugar in the Kool-Aid and cried when he had to get his picture taken. He was known to many as Odie. He was known as a fun and likeable friend, who loved his dog, Hank. He enjoyed making up songs on the guitar, keeping his shoes spotless and shooting pool. He was an avid sports fan, especially of Cardinals baseball and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He loved popsicles and Tiger’s Blood snow cones, sleeping in and opening the last gift on Christmas. He also enjoyed collecting baseball cards and bobbleheads and watching home videos. He did not love reading, bad breath or cold pants. Working wasn’t his favorite, but when he did, he worked hard. He enjoyed helping others and was known for his caring spirit. His loved spending time with his “niblings” and being their “Uncle Oat.” He played a ruthless copy game and was always willing to let them have a “paco” (popsicle). He will be remembered for being silly, thoughtful and for having a kind heart. Born Sept. 19, 1985, in St. Louis, to the late Bob and Jackie (Block) Dostal.

He is survived by his siblings: Bryan (the late Rachel) Dostal, Dale (Mandy) Dostal, Stephanie (Will) Wanstreet and Stacey Dostal; his nieces and nephew: Jaxson, Annie and Leanne; and many other family members and friends.
