Billy "Don" Campbell, 85, of Arnold died Dec. 24, 2023, at his home. Mr. Campbell was the owner of H&K Furniture and D&R's Headliner Service. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Arnold. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, spending time with his family and helping others. Born April 11, 1938, in Bakersfield, Calif., he was the son of the late Evelyn (Cadle) and Donald Campbell.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years: Jan (Horst) Campbell of Arnold; two children: Ryan Campbell of Hillsdale, N.Y., and Cara Campbell of Webster Groves; a sibling: Charles (Barbara) Campbell of Licking; five brothers-in-law: Steve (Carol), Mark, Dennis (Theresa), Barry (Sherry) and Don Horst of Jackson; and six nieces and nephews: Sandy Campbell of Licking, Jennifer Horst (Nick Renz) of St. Louis, Laura (Jason) Jones of Jackson, Luke Horst of Jackson, Matt (Astrid) Horst of Jackson and Kaley (Andrew) Stringer of Webster Groves.
A funeral service was held Dec. 30 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Arnold, officiated by Pastor Jeremy Schultz. Burial followed in the church’s cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis South County Chapel in St. Louis.
