Betty Westhoff Adams, 79, of De Soto died Dec. 23, 2024, at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis County. Ms. Adams was a bookkeeper. She worked for several administration offices in the De Soto Public School District as well as United Van Lines and Hamel & Rowe Hardware. Born Nov. 26, 1945, in De Soto, she was the daughter of the late Mary “Audrey” (Politte) and Bernard Anton Westhoff.
She is survived by two children: Julie A. Salisbury of De Soto and Dawn R. (Dennis) Helms of Valles Mines; five siblings: Mary Lou (Wes) Sisler of Castle Rock, Colo., Norman (Patsy) Westhoff of De Soto, Bill (Lora) Westhoff of Desloge, Kenny (Dawn) Westhoff of De Soto and Robin (Andy) Kluesner of Washington; a sister-in-law: Kathy Westhoff of Webster Groves; and four grandchildren: Tyler Salisbury, David Salisbury, Tiffany Salisbury and Drayden Helms.
She was preceded in death by a brother: Bernard R. “Dick” Westhoff.
Services were held Dec. 28 at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto, officiated by Terry Crank. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum in De Soto. Memorials may be made to SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital, S. Grand Blvd., St. Louis, 63104. Arrangements were under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
