Bernard “Geno” Valenti II, 58, of Hillsboro died March 21, 2026, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mr. Valenti will be remembered for his devotion to family, gift for storytelling, love of Lake of the Ozarks, strength and the lasting impact he had on those who knew him. Born May 25, 1967, in Affton, he was the son of the late Bernard G. Valenti and Corliss (James “Pop”) Stroup.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years: Cheryl (Whittier) Valenti, whom he married on Oct. 1, 1994; a son: Bernard “Little Geno” (Michelle) Valenti III; a daughter: Marissa (Joe) Valenti; a grandson: Daniel Joseph; two brothers: Charlie and James; two sisters: Josephine and Lisa; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Harry; and a sister: Anita.
