Barry James Burley, 65, of De Soto died July 19, 2025, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mr. Burley was a retired mechanic for Lucas Smith Chrysler Center in Festus. Born June 4, 1960, in Festus, he was the son of the late Norma Ruth (Waters) Burley and Carl Leroy Burley.
He is survived by his wife: Tammy (Akins) Burley; a son: James (Julie) Burley of De Soto; two grandchildren: Skyler Burley and Peyton Burley; three siblings: Karl W. Burley of De Soto, Timothy (Wendy) Burley of Mt. Juliet, Tenn., and Brenda (the late Steve) Moszczenski of Lincolnton, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister: Roxanna (Andy survives) Dennis.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, July 24, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, July 25, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mount Olive Cemetery in De Soto. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
