Barbara “Carol” Greever, 91, of Pevely died Nov. 8, 2025, at de Greeff Hospice House in St. Louis. Mrs. Greever was a member of First United Methodist Church of Festus-Crystal City. She also was a longtime Girl Scout leader. Born June 28, 1934, in Herculaneum, she was the daughter of the late Augusta (Swaringin) and Raney Marler.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Delbert “Dean” Greever.
She is survived by five children: Barb Greever of Pevely, Richard (Michelle) Greever of Huntington Beach, Calif., Deena (the late David) McCullah of Huntington Beach, Nanette Schanz of Pevely and David (the late Janet) Greever of Barnhart; 10 grandchildren: Jennifer (Rich) Anderson, Joshua Greever, Rebecca (Bill) Nekula, Jeana (David) Shim, Brian (Danielle Greenlee) Schanz, Brittany (Lonnie) Lay, Kelsey (Justin) Heberlie, Vanessa Schanz, Derek Schanz and Cody Schanz; 13 great-grandchildren: Gabrielle Gray, Clayton Anderson, Blake Nekula, Lucas Schanz, Finley Lay, Carolina Heberlie, Benton Lay, Jaxon Shim, Emmilou Heberlie, Kelsi Belisle, Zach Jones, Brandan Nekula and Kyro Shim; and her good friend: Jean Pyatt.
She also was preceded in death by six siblings: Lloyd Marler, Arnold (the late Wilma) Marler, Herbert (the late Betty) Marler, Robert (the late Joan) Marler, Jack Marler and Marilyn (the late Ben) Carrow.
Services will be private. Burial will be at a later date in the National Cemetery in Jefferson Barracks. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
