Barbara Ann Mueller, 86, of Arnold died June 7, 2026, at Garden Place of Columbia, Ill. Mrs. Mueller was known for her down-to-earth and loving nature. She loved spending time with her family and friends and enjoyed spending winters at the beach. She was also an avid animal lover, especially of Great Danes and her cat, Buddy. Born Aug. 21, 1939, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Michael Arazan and Irene (Smith) Schnelting.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Robert “Bob” Mueller.
She is survived by four children: Ray (Kim) Gummersheimer, Dale (Beth) Gummersheimer, Karen (Dave) Gotsch and Rick Mueller; eight grandchildren: Robin, Travis, Jeremy, Ashlyn, Maddie, Zack, Victoria and Noah; three great-grandchildren: Liliana, Aurora and Lynlei; a sister: Patricia Jekel; and numerous other family members and friends.
Per Mrs. Mueller’s wishes, there will be no public services. Arrangements were handled by Leesman Funeral Home in Columbia, Ill.
