Ava Lavenia (Nations) Brewer, 60, of Arnold died Nov. 24, 2023, at her home. Mrs. Brewer was passionate about astronomy; she loved the planets and the constellations. She enjoyed her gardening creations, swimming and spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed caring for her father, mother, and brother’s resting places. She loved going on daily adventures with her husband and loved to play blaring music that kept her neighbors up. Born Sept. 5, 1963, in Crystal City, she was the daughter of the late Verniel and John Nations.
She is survived by her husband: Stanley Carl; a daughter: Shannon (Bobby) Berry; a son: Warren (Stephanie) Brewer; a mother-in-law: Shirley Brewer; six siblings-in-law: Tony (Evelyn) Brewer, Kenny (Barb) Brewer, Frank (Cathy) Brewer, Theresa Ressel, Don (Diane) Brewer and Juli Brewer; six grandchildren: Trinity, Serenity, Zander, McKinzie, Beckett and Logan Carl.
She was preceded in death by a brother: Glen Nations; a father-in-law: Richard A. Brewer; and a brother-in-law: Pete Ressel.
Visitation is scheduled for 4 p.m. until a service at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in St. Louis. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis South County Chapel.
