Alma Earleen Skaggs, 86, of De Soto died July 1, 2026. Mrs. Skaggs was a member of Grace Life Church. Born March 5, 1940, in Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Hester Wisdom and Clifford Wisdom.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years: Clarence “CW” Skaggs.
She is survived by six children: Clifford (Bill) Ventura of De Soto, Randy(Joe'l)Ventura of De Soto, Rhonda (Marshall Stacey) Ventura of House Springs, Dawn Kehoe of De Soto, Becky (Rob) Ventura of Florida and Trish (Shawn) Eggemeyer of Festus; 23 grandchildren: Joshua, Ashley, William, Samantha, Debbie, Chrystalyne, Randy Jr., Adam, Amanda, Zachariah, Kiana, Danielle, Jessica, Brandon, Shane, Joanna, Jennifer, Sarah, Christopher, Amber, Megan, Kristin and Sydney; 50 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; six siblings: Evelyn (Wayne) Whittley of De Soto, Sandy (Mike) Jones of De Soto, Judy (Dan) Becker of De Soto, Barbara (Patrick) Milligan of Dittmer, Clyde (Cheryl) Wisdom of St. Louis and Bill (Sara) Wisdom of St. Louis; her pet: Peanut; and many other family members and friends.
She also was preceded in death by two children: Debra A. Pinckard and John A. Ventura; three siblings: Joann Hollingsworth, Patricia Grossman and Donald (Barbara) Wisdom; and three brothers-in-law: Dan Becker, Mike Jones and Wayne Whittley.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Interment will be in Hall Cemetery in St. Francois County. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
