Eva Mae West, 99, of Crystal City died Aug. 19, 2023. Mrs. West worked at Emerson Electric Co. and was a member of the Masonic Eastern Star organization and Apostolic Pentecostal Church. Her hobbies included gardening and going on walks. Born Oct. 6, 1923, in Jonesboro, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Eliza Parthena Jones and John Coleman Parker.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Perry J. West Sr.
She is survived by two sons: James Perry West and Patrick Lawrence West; four grandchildren: Lisa (Ernie) Lease, the Rev. Andrew (Angela) West, Cheryl A. West and Tammy Sue West; and five great-grandchildren: Landen and Logan Lease, Ava and Liam West and Myrissa Miller.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Aug. 24, at John L. Ziegenhein and Sons Funeral Home, 4830 Lemay Ferry Road, in south St. Louis County, followed immediately by funeral services. Burial will be at Shepard Hills Cemetery in Barnhart. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements are under the direction of John L. Ziegenhein and Sons Funeral Home.
