Elnora Lee Moring, 97, of Festus died Sept. 13, 2023, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Moring was a medical technician and a member of the First Christian Church in Festus. She enjoyed listening to books on tape, learning and telling jokes to the members of her family and laughing and playing with her grandchildren. Born April 16, 1926, in Caraway, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Louie and Fred Mangrum. She was preceded in death by her husband: J.L. Moring
She is survived by six children: Jerry Moring (Debbie Buck) Moring of Mehlville, Elaine (Steve) Johnson of Davenport, Iowa, Debra (Harry) Meyer of Bloomsdale, Linda (Gene) Higgins of Festus, Brenda Baynes of Festus and Jeff (Kim) Moring of Festus; 14 grandchildren: Michelle, Jeremy, Courtney, Jennifer, James, Jason, Stephanie, Brandi, Brian, LeAnna, Jocelyn, Christi, David and Derek; 31 great-grandchildren; family member Nicky; and numerous family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by a son: Ron Moring: a son-in-law: Johnny Baynes; three brothers: Wilford Mangrum, Piburn Mangrum and Arthur Mangrum; and a sister: Camille Ramsey.
Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until a funeral service at noon Monday, Sept. 18, at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd, in Arnold. Burial will follow in the Shepherd Hills Cemetery, 1925 Old Hwy. M., in Barnhart. Memorials may be made to First Christian Church Disciples of Christ, 415 N. Mill St., Festus 63028.
