Eldon L. ‘Skip’ Stewart, 84, Cedar Hill

Eldon L. “Skip” Stewart, 84, of Cedar Hill died April 25, 2023. Mr. Stewart enjoyed riding motorcycles and horses, as well as tinkering with cars, driving tractor-trailers and spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed family summer vacations to Table Rock and Bull Shoals Lakes and autumn trips with his friends to ride horses through Colorado’s Rocky Mountains to hunt elk. He also was a certified SCUBA diver. Born May 25, 1938, he was the son of the late Barbara (Calvert) and Marvin Stewart.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Susan (Crowder) Stewart.

He is survived by two children: Rick (Donna) Stewart and Melissa (Rick) Cattron; four siblings: Shirley Dvorak, Bob (Cindy) Stewart, Mark (Anna) Stewart and Lorna (Brad) Anderson; four grandchildren: Chris Stewart, Sahra (Greg Bitter) Stewart, Josh (Heather) Stewart and Courtney (Jay) Holtman; five great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by two sons: Steve and Martin Stewart.

Funeral services were held April 29 at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home in Arnold, and burial was in Shepherd Hills Cemetery in Barnhart. Memorials may be made to Dementia Society of America. Arrangements were under the direction of Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home.
