Brandon William-Ernest O’Harver, 26, of De Soto died April 8, 2023, at his home after a long battle with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Mr. O’Harver was an honorary firefighter for the De Soto Rural Fire Department for 10 years. Born Feb. 18, 1997, in St. Louis, he was the son of Chrissy Lynn (Bourisaw) and Matthew Joseph O’Harver.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his grandparents: Betty Bourisaw and Glen and Carol O’Harver; his godfather: Glenn Jones; his godmother: Kim (Mike) Bundy; his “kids” Desi (Logan), Andrew (Ellie), Abi and Claira; many other family members; his dog: Scout; and his cat: Sid.
He was preceded in death by a grandfather: William “Billy” Bourisaw; an uncle: Glen O’Harver Jr.; his BMG (big mean grandma): Teresa (Clarence) Osia; his Bourisaw, Spangler and O’Harver great-grandparents; and many other family members.
Visitation is scheduled from 2-8 p.m. Thursday, April 13, at Mahn Funeral Home, 900 Main St., in De Soto. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 14, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 504 S. Third Street, in De Soto, officiated by Father Alex Anderson.. Burial is in the Calvary Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made to Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy, 1012 14th Street NW, Suite 500, Washington, DC 20005. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
